Thanjavur Periya Koil or Peruvudaiyar Koil or Brihadeeswar Temple being few of the names of this architectural marvel of Chola empire of Tamil nadu, India.
The Temple was built around 1010 C.E, the entire temple complex built using granite houses Shiva as its main deity. This is a UNESCO world heritage site.
There are many hoaxes, myths, surrounding the temple tower few of which are about the shadow of the main tower falling on the ground.
