A rice Nursery in India
Of the 700 million tonnes produced annually, 60% of world rice production happens in three countries of China, India and Indonesia. Those three nations also being the top three consumers. It has sustained the enormous food requirements of these three countries.
But can rice production continue to grow to sustain population growth?
Can urban sprawling stop towards agricultural land?
Will agricultural land stop consuming the ever important forests?
